Hi.

What up Heifers?

 Jesus Loves you!

walking forward. hoping Upward. loving in all directions. (Conference notes)

walking forward.  hoping Upward.  loving in all directions

Isaiah 61:1– My calling and my life’s work.  “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor; he has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”

When I was writing this talk, I feel like God was saying,

Remind them that I am the God of Hope.

Remind My People of all the ways they embody My character.  Remind them that they are crafted in My image.

Remind them they are daily, from glory to glory, reshaped and molded further into My image.  Some will hear it, but not heed it.  Some long for it but feel they don’t deserve it.  For some it’s like water in the desert.”

Remind them how much I love them, because some have forgotten and say it twice, because some will simply take the first time you say it for granted.  God loves you.

Isaiah 59:19 “…When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.”  God, Himself will oppose him.

A little business first

(A belief that someone is a mistake is to be resolved and handed over).  “…we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Jesus Christ we are heirs of God's glory…”

Painted Peacock- Describe this person.  From a distance they look like they are so well put together, but when you take a closer look, you see the worn-out feathers, you see that the colors have faded and that they have been painted over to keep up the right image.  They are worn out from being everything to everybody.  I remember how disappointed I was when I first saw the back end of a Peacock.  In order to see it’s beauty, A peacock must always put his best face forward, constantly maintaining the look, that the female is interested in.  That is this person.  Any time someone tries to get to know them, they are consistently showing off only their best side.

I say none of this to single anyone out, but there is brokenness here tonight that God wants to clear out, because He is ready to do a work in your life and He is asking “Do you want me to do a work in your life?  And would you like me to do for you today?”

Prepare the soil of hardened, guarded, wounded hearts, before you try planting seeds.

LET’S PRAY

Father I pray Ezekiel 36:26. You say in Your word that You will give each of them a new heart.  I ask You to do that for your sons and daughters.  You say in Your word that You will put a new spirit in them. I ask You to do that for your sons and daughters.  Father, You say in Your word that You will remove from us our hearts of stone and give us hearts of flesh.  We ask for that gift, that surgery tonight.” Restore in us Father, the luxury to feel again.

Heavenly Father, we pray Psalm 51:10 over our lives and ask that you “Create in each one of your sons and daughters a clean heart…and renew a right spirit within us.”

John 10:10 Your word says that satan, the Father of lies is the thief that comes only to steal and kill and destroy.  Tonight, with the authority that You have placed in us we take back what he stole from us.  You say in Your word Jesus that You came so that we would have life and have it abundantly.  We ask for that gift tonight.”

You say in Matthew 21:22 that whatever we ask for in prayer, if we believe, we will receive it.  We ask for restoration, healing and ears to hear and eyes to see. Tonight we are confident that You began a good work in us and that You will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. You say In Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” So we are asking for Your blessing and provision Lord, seeking Your presence and knocking persistently Lord.

Your word says that if we draw close to You, you will draw close to us.  Hug us closer Lord.

I mentioned John 10:10 and it says, “they will have life and have it abundantly.”  One translation says rich and satisfying life.

Question:  How many of you would currently describe your life as abundant, rich and satisfying?

Or have you allowed yourself to get bogged down again with past struggles?

Have they had a chance to even be in the past?

Where do you let your sin chase you to

Into his presence or into hiding?

Have people wad up a piece of paper and symbolically cast their cares on Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.”

I have come to give you freedom from sin and bondage.

John 8:36 “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

Not feeling free doesn’t mean that the Son has failed to set you free or that you are beyond help.

It simply means that satan is relentless and distracting.

Continue to place your faith in the truth of scripture and not the false religion of emotionality.

I have not come to destroy you under the weight of oppression.

You’re carrying around stuff you were never meant to carry and my hands are outstretched and ready to receive.

-----> Symbolically open your hands and dump out the baggage.

We might have made this faith walk harder than it has to be.

We have, I just didn’t want you to feel too judged.

Who put that responsibility on you?

Matthew 11:28-30 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Let’s be honest.

What influences your image of God most?

God Himself.                        Satan.                The bible.           Your limited experience on earth.

You can figure it out by looking at your response to trials in your life.

walking forward.  hoping Upward.  loving in all directions

There is an alignment that takes place when a Christian voraciously seeks God.

We surrender our life to Jesus.  We place our Hope in God the Father.  What results is a love for others because of the alignment of our hearts.

I have heard God called the great physician.  I see him more as a chiropractor.  When you first start treatment, He assesses where you are out of alignment and God pops, clicks and adjusts us back into right positioning so that proper function is restored.  The adjustments are awkward.  It doesn’t feel good at first, because we have grown so accustomed to living with a bent, misaligned spine.  Chiropractors are hands on.  They get in there and get close.  I almost had to buy my doctor dinner the other day.  She said I am going to hug you.  I thought Awww.

We are here, because homosexuality or sexual brokenness has touched our lives on a personal level, but Jesus is still about His Father’s business and He’s ready to do some realignment tonight.

God creates. Satan Disrupts.

Some of us found ourselves here because something disrupted the normal course of our lives. Satan has done quite a number on many of you, giving rise to broken identities like Shame, Ugly, Outcast, Embarrassed, Fearful, Angry, Gay, Bitter, Perfection, Failed Parent, Victim, Numb.

Ask them, “what else?”

(Gold Coin Analogy Perhaps)

Who gave this coin it’s value?  The original owner.

Joseph addressing his brothers.  Genesis 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

What to expect 1 peter 5:8 “Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

Sometimes we try to force God’s hand in our lives.  We do it as parents.  We do it as overcomers.  We see where that got Abraham and Sarah when they tried to bring about God’s plan in their own timing.

God makes a promise, but He often takes His time fulfilling that promise.

Pure pursuitmeans being led consistently and exclusively by the Spirit of God

Pure pursuitmeans seeking God first before anything else, perhaps even before coffee.

Pure pursuitmeans “Confessing your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16

Pure Pursuit means placing your faith and trust in God
